國境之南太陽之西，想像中的南方樂園，地圖上找不到的地方。

是Nat King Cole的「國境之南」中，「始」和「島本」共同琅琅上口的歌詞了！意思是：「當你憂傷的時候假裝你很快樂，那並非很難的事。」
南方總是安逸，無憂無慮的藍天白雲。
在1995的年輕裡，猛力的嗑著村上春樹孤離的光影、爵士樂及義大利麵。
也許海角七號可以是為某種程度的村上版光影吧！
